When our daughter Megan was first diagnosed with cancer we found ourselves in a state of shock. There was so much to learn and remember. We were quite overwhelmed and struggled to keep up with all the new terminology, the setting up of numerous appointments, understanding tests she was undergoing and meeting all the new medical staff.
To get a handle on all the important paperwork and stay organized, we created what we referred to as Megan's "blue book", thus creating the first Patient Medical Journal. We never left home without it as it contained everything anyone needed to know regarding her medical history and more.
There are separate categories for the various pieces of information you will receive throughout your care. It will not only save time, but will eliminate confusion and possible mistakes by using the journal.
You will find that this journal will become invaluable to you. We wish you the best and hope that we have provided you with a useful tool as you journey towards restored health.
Sincerely,

“I'm writing you this little message to let you know what a difference you make in peoples lives-daily. Thank you so much for the Patient Medical Journal from the Hickman CC. inspired by your beloved Megan and sponsored by Kiwanis of Adrian. It's such a great help to me and we were and are so blessed to share in her love and life and your love for your community, others and each other!”

"The PATIENT MEDICAL JOURNAL offers me a way to take an overwhelming amount of medical information and make it managable. To get well, I have to work with many doctors and nurses and I take the JOURNAL with me to every appointment. I use it to organize my own research and any questions I have. It is comforting to have order in my life at a time when there are so few variables that I can control.”
