When their daughter, Megan, 19, died from a rare form of bone cancer, Patt and Mary Helen Hayes were left with bittersweet memories and the medical journal theyd created to organize the 2 tumultuous years of Megans intensive cancer treatments.
They called it Megans Blue Book. A plastic-bound divided-by-topic loose-leaf journal, it corralled appointments, prescription info, test results, and more.
At the encouragement of Megans doctors, her parents have made the journal system Megswork Patient Medical Journal ($40) available in two versions: one for cancer, one for other conditions.
